Hi all,

I recently got my computer back after repair from a PC retailer. The motherboard and CPU were replaced with a different model. They wiped my HD but luckily I had an Acronis True Image image to restore from. Only problem is that now I have no sound and my Audigy 2 is not in device manager. It worked before I restored the image. I am running XP SP2. Any help is much appreciated!

EDIT: I have just noticed that my 56k modem is also not in device manager, which is my only other PCI card. So I guess it might be some sort of motherboard drivers problem? I did uninstall my old nforce drivers and install the new mobo drivers from it's CD. The new motherboard is a 760GXK8MC is that helps.

Is there onboard sound on your new motherboard? Try disabling it first windows won't like the fact you've got two sound outputs.

Uninstall then reinstall drivers.

Onboard sound was enabled but I disabled it. The Audigy2 drivers wont install, the installer says that it cannot detect the card.
