Audio Cable and Desk Help

Hi can someone tell me what the audio cable is called that you can plug into a monitor and into the back of the pc for the built in speakers please. And also I don't have a desk at the moment pc is on a piece of wood on the carpet and playing all my games with a controller. can anyone recommend a nice pc desk the use themselves thanks

I piece together a tabletop and legs from IKEA too, quite a few options. Thinking about changing my current setup to get some of the adjustable legs that IKEA do.

MALM desk form ikea is pretty damn solid, I've seen people use dining tables too, if you need a lot of space.
