Hi Guys,

I'm after a free audio file converter as I appear to have a load of audio files that have been ripped from CD at a stupidly high bitrate and I want to put them on my mp3 player, I'd like to convert them to lower bitrate to make them smaller. I've tried super but it doesn't seem to get on too well with the files for some reason, it just keeps erroring or taking ages.

Thanks

You'll get better quality if you re-rip them again at your desired bit rate. Converting lossy to lossy is never good. If you're making the effort to re-tip you might as well rip to a lossless format (FLAC, ALAC etc) and then make a second lossy library (MP3, WMA.)

To properly answer your question DBPoweramp will do this.
