Was unsure which forum to put this into, but i guess someone else must have tried it.

Ive got a Asus P5K-E Wifi - it has 6 audio thing on the back, plus a optical, im not sure whether the optical is in/out, im guessing out.

Has anyone successfully routed their speakers through their onboard audio to save chopping/changing audio cables about to the speaker?

ive done it...via my prelude, digital in -> analog out, no idea if this is possible via the inputs available on on-board sound, maybe in the audio in/mic jack and then having mic unmuted on output

yeah i just bought a male stereo mini jack to female phonos. its about 20cm long but just what i need to have the 360 running via a line in and just adjust volume through windows.

I had one of them lying around thankfully, i thought id have quite a hassle getting it to work even if it did, but it worked first time, and the volume comes out my speakers identically to how it does for pc.
