I have a 03 Z4 and am thinking about upgrading the audio in it. I have the bog standard 6 speaker system so have not got to worry about any of the BMW silliness from the upgraded systems.
I currently have a DEH-X9600BT head unit fitted and my old TS-WX120A under seat sub fitted in the boot (had it in the Ibiza so I could remove bass from the door cards). Now the problem is this is not great in the new car for obvious reasons.
I have seen a few installs where people have placed speakers in the storage bays behind the seats. (I think the subs go here for the upgraded systems). So I am thinking of maybe going down this road to save having to removing any panels, I have read they are a right pain to do.
Now when it comes to audio setups I have little to no clue what is good / bad or really how to design a system. I don't want to spend silly money but any suggestions on what to get, how to do it or if its just a silly idea would be appreciated.
And just to save anyone having a heart attack I have no plans to stick a 400,00 watt amp and subs in the boot to rock any streets I go down
