I've been trying to get my graphics card to play audio to my TV via HDMI but I can't seem to get it to work I've been using a selection of cables for the sound card and my graphics card (one cable has two pins and the other has four )I'm not sure if they are the right ones. can anyone help in how to set this up and what new cables I need I sure what i have is wrong.

motherboard X48-DS5
sound card Xonar D2
graphics card EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX+

You need to set the default audio device to "s/pdif" or "digital output" (depending on your config) as the default audio. Since its an nvidia, you need to connect the soundcard to the graphics card (not all support this) with an internal cable. The manual should tell you which is the correct one.
