Ok chaps I set up my gear at my gfs place recently, and I set things up so I have the below:

Now as you guys see, monitor 1 I use for gaming, monitor 2 I use for films / tv whatever I want to watch at the time. If the gf wants to watch the same stuff I do she just turns on the tv and switches to the right chan. Now the small issue here is that whenever she does that I have to go via the below control panel and set the tv (samsung) to default device.

Now what I'm hoping is theres a way to output to both speakers and tv at the same time and always. That way I can just press a mute button on the keyboard when we switch to tv, or keep them both going if I'm still sat there instead of watching the tv... But I cant find any options for that!

There is.
VAC (virtual audio cable)
I've not used it myself but I was in a similar situation a while ago and the resounding answer was to use VAC to get around the problem.
