Audio Playback - Fast Forward/Rewind?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a program that has skip/rewind abilities.

I'm trying to make notes from my audio recordings of university lectures, and having the ability to skip/rewind in 5/10 second intervals would be really useful.

At the moment I'm resorting to iTunes and having to randomly stab at the playback interface and hope it doesn't rewind too far so I lose my place is quite annoying.

I've tried VLC too, but that just goes back a second or two, so I have to keep stabbing at the rewind button, there must be a better solution.

Also if the program could float above other programs that would be great.

If anyone can suggest anything I'd be very grateful.

VLC player,

cmd+J = jump to time.

KM Player.

Left arrow goes back 5 seconds, right arrow goes forward 5 seconds.

This sounds perfect, but I can't seem to find the mac version, is it Windows only?
