Hey guys im having trouble figuring out how to connect both the 360 and my laptop to my speakers.
The current setup goes like this: I have the 360 connected to my monitor via the official vga cable. The audio is connected via the included "2 Phono to 3.5mm Stereo Adaptor" to my laptop's mic socket. The external speakers are connected to the laptop via the 3.5mm speaker socket and I have set it up so the audio is passed through to the speakers.
The problem with this is that the laptop needs to be turned on to get sound.
I am looking for a solution where I can connect both the laptop and the 360 to the speakers so I can get audio without the laptop being on and without cable switching. It also needs to be able to play the output from both sources simultaneously e.g. Sound from the laptop can be heard while playing a game.
Does anyone know how I can do this?
