Photos from the show I snapped as I went round when I was there over last weekend.

Some amazing looking and sounding systems to see and hear - possibly not as expensive as previous shows overall, but still absolutely exquisite stuff.

The system below used turntable isolation platforms originally developed for electron microscopes to ensure steady subatomic images - over 20 grand for one of those bad boys.

Great pics!

I went on the Saturday and thought it was a really good show!

Loved the Eggleston Works speakers - and the Boyer room sounded stunning like last year!

Didn't think much of the $650k speakers but they had them playing some plinky plonky stuff so a little hard to gauge what they could really do, not that it really matters as they cost nearly as much as my house :cry:

yeah mostly Diana Krall. Looks like that show is stereo, not AV?

I don't think there is an AV show in the UK anymore. The What HiFi show is probably the closest thing we have but 90% of that is now 2 channel stuff and nothing really AV based.

It'd be great if we did have one but guessing the logistics of doing it is too much

The deluxe show this year was the third one, the first two shows had a home cinema system in the Karma AV room but they didn't have one this year. The Bristol Show this year had some AV systems but most are stereo music systems.

I enjoy Dolby Atmos music, usually anything mixed by Steven Wilson as well as Atmos films so it's a shame that there aren't more shows with AV type systems showcasing surround sound but can understand the difficulty of putting together a temporary system with all the speakers and the setting up it would require to sound good.
