A while ago I began to observe a strange stuttering effect on audio and video when loading web pages. It doesn't happen after a reboot, but starts happening after a few hours, and gets progressively worse until I reboot again.
I did a bit of digging around on the web and I'm led to believe it may be an issues of IRQs being shared across components.
When I go to Run > msinfo32, and check under the IRQs section, I can see that 'High Definition Audio Controller' and my netword adaptor 'Realtek RTL8169/8110 Family PCI Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) #2' are both on IRQ 22.
I have tried (multiple times) to completely uninstall both of these components in Device Manager, and reboot windows (Vista 64 Ultimate) in the hope that it would assign one or both of them to a different IRQ. Sadly this hasn't worked at all, they continue to be assigned to IRQ22 no matter how many times I uninstall them.
Specs are as follows:
Q6600 @ 3.1GHz
ABit IP35-Pro
8GB Corsair RAM
XFX 260GTX
5 SATA hdds
Vista 64 Ultimate
If anyone has any suggestions on how to guarantee different IRQs or anything else that might solve this problem I would be very grateful, it really becomes tedious to have to reboot for no reason other than this :/
Thanks
