I have Mint 10 & am getting ready to get a motherboard with the audio chipset in title, will I get audio in Mint 10?

VIA is listed at here, but I don't see VIA 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC. I mean it is no big deal if I have no audio, but I would like to know for sure.

IIRC all HD audio codecs can use a single driver to give stereo playback so you should get that at a bare minimum, but pretty much all of the onboard chips have their own driver anyway.

Intel HD standard is guaranteed to work, but as for specific features of your VIA chip/codec your mileage may vary, although I think they ironed out most issues back in March. Don't forget to grab the latest updates! :)

SO, I should get audio then good. :) What about Realtek Lan chipsets, I should be good there to right?
