Hi guys, I'm looking to build a machine to leave at work purely for editing video and recording music from a firewire interface. I currently use an i5 laptop with no graphics card that I bought a year ago for £500 - it's a bit slow! Unfortunately I don't have a huge budget - possibly around £500 again, £600 at a push - but hopefully a desktop will be a bit better with this kind of thing. I already have the monitor/peripherals/sound card etc. Does anyone have any recommendations for parts? I just don't know what I need for video editing!
