Hey guys
I will be purchasing some Audioengine A2's soon and was wondering what the best option would be for best sound quality.
Some people say to just get a dedicated soundcard like an X-FI Xtrememusic or the EMU 0404.
Others say to get a USB DAC??
I have looked at some DAC's and a lot of them say they have headphone amps built in. The Audioengine A2 speakers are powered speakers and have their own amp built in. Does this mean that a DAC with a headphone amp is enough to power the A2's?
Similar to above. I see a lot of people with there DAC's going into an amp and then into their speakers. As my speakers have a built in amp, will it work OK?
I like the USB DAC's because they seem to be cheaper than soundcards, but you get better quality audio chips, am i right?
Thanks a lot guys, any input will be greatly appriciated!
P.S any personal reviews of the A2's would be great
