Audiosurf question.

I got audiosurf recently, seems pretty decent so far.

When I've completed a track and get to the end points screen, people usually have loads more points than me (up to 50k more!) and I don't understand why.

I collected all blocks, missed the grey ones!

Is there a technique that I'm missing?

The scores are for the track played in any of the modes, the people who have higher scores probably played it in the mode with more blocks and not just the grey + 1 colour mode (first one).

Also as I have mentioned in the other thread, collecting all the blocks will very rarely get you a 'perfect' score, even when comparing with other mono scores. See post below

The most you can get per block in mono is 166pts I believe. You get something like 90pts for a 3 block combo and 182 for a 4 block combo. Whether or not skipping a block is worth it depends on how many more blocks you can collect by missing it. Missing one block to make a combo of 4 is only worthwhile at the beginning of the track if you're trying to get stealth as well.

Just for the sake of some maths, not accounting for any more than 4 blocks
3 block combo without missing any blocks + another block = (3 * 166) + 90 + 166 = 754 points
4 block combo missing one block = 4 * 166 + 192 - 166 = 690, which is close but not quite

Don't know how many for a 5, but I'm guessing missing one block to make a 5 is worth more points

Are you getting clean finish (25% bonus) and stealth (30% bonus)

By the way, are personal achievements broken? I have stealthed a number of times but i never seem to ever get those achievments

i think it is still very buggy! But also a very good game! Also, just keep trying eventually you will understand how to guess in advance what might come to get a better combo!

It has to be stealth on ninja mono (the hardest one), doing it on the others doesn't count.

Can't think of a single bug I've encountered.. Only issues have been with the scoreboard servers, which aren't really bugs so much as server load...
