Audley loses again :(

He never looked like a fighter at any point, even in the olympics.

He has technique but no heart.

lack of heart can get you through if you have good technique but Audley not only lacked heart he lacked vision and hunger

he didnt realise how close he was to becoming world champion and let go of it against Williams

imho the best boxer at the moment, with talent is David Haye opinions?
He's very quick, he's got a very hard punch and he's techincally very good but as was shown when he fought Carl Thompson he doesn't have a plan B. He tried knocking out someone that doesn't get knocked out and rather than taking his time and settling for a win on points he punched himself out and practically fell to the canvas. If he's learnt his lesson from that fight I see no reason why he can't go on to clean up in his current division before moving up to heavyweight and doing the same given the quality of the lumps of turd he'll be figthing.

As for Audley, the words of atpbx sum him up perfectly. IMO his career is all but over.

i agree, but hes never come across that and has now been working on the Plan B, imho hes a decent boxer hehe. He'll grow strength by strength :)

Is anyone surprised by this ?

He is just not a talented boxer. Yes, he won the Olympic Gold and good on him, but any boxing fans out there will see him for what he is, a mediocre heavyweight.

Bring someone like George Foremen out of retirement and he would flatten him.

Never thought Audley would win, just has no stamina at all or the heart to fight.

As for David Haye, he's in big trouble if he moves to heavyweight IMO... Herbie Hide was a decent Cruiser and look what happened to him at heavy. Haye doesn't have the best of chin IMO and he can quite clearly make weight at Cruiser.

If he really wants to be taken seriously then throw him in with Enzo/Nelson and then Mormeck to find the best European cruiser.

Good, he needed another loss to make him realise that he hasnt been training properly, and that he will not make it unless drastic changes are made on his part. Thats if he decides to continue.

I haven't seen the fight, but it sounds like Audrey was awful again and not a total surprise to me.

He seemed to think that he had a right to a world title after winning the Olympic gold and he's been found out and now proving what a lot of people have said all along, he's just not good enough.

He has the physical attributes, but mentally, he's rather lacking.

What he became World Heavyweight Champion?? And created a superfight between him and Riddick Bowe. All be it he wasnt the super part of that fight ;)

Does that not have enough umpff behind it to create a legacy?

Well he must have had enough talent to fool lennox lewis and the aforementioned George Foreman who were tipping him for greatness before the Williams fight.

A prediction I am surprised at Flash, but I just don't have it in me to **** off Lennox and Big George. ;)

Muhammad Ali, then Cassius Clay, won the light-heavyweight gold in 1960, Joe Frazier won heavyweight gold in 1964 George Foreman won it in 1968 They all went on to become greats and helped to make the 1960's and 70's the fabulous era of heavyweights that it was and maybe some peoples perception is that Olympic gold is an automatic path to greatness when it is not. Also Lennox Lewis won Olympic gold in 1988, beating Riddick Bowe. ( How I wish they fought in the professional ranks-my money being on Lewis.)

Notable heavyweights who never won Olympic gold include Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield ( Bronze in 1984 ).

As for Teofilo Stevenson, it would be interesting to have known whether he would have been a great in the professional world as he won 3 straight Olympic golds, but never went beyond the amateur ranks.

I hope Audley fights again only to lose on points and retire. All he is doing is prolonging the HW drought.

Just like that Prince Nassem, always said he was crap, and where is he now.
C'mon, Naseem would never make Heavyweight, probably nearer to Super MiddleWeight although he would certainly add some spark to the HW division. I'd love to see him flip into the ring now...
