Anyone else's ps3 started to freeze?

Its just Resistance sofar, but a few weeks ago when I tried to play online, it froze twice, so I gave up on that. Now thought tonight I would try Resistance again, but all it does is get to the load screen, whack X, and then Sony Computer Entertainment Presents(few seconds then blank screen).

Playstation menu wont load, nothing...

Gonna have a quick google, if not fixed soon gonna play some more Bad Company. Least I know thats awesome, and works

Never had problems with Resistance, but ive had trouble getting GTAIV to load recently. Cant get it past the loading screen.

I had that, deleted the install, once it had reinstalled all was well again.

On the resistance freezing front; i've never had it freeze on me, could the disk possibly be scratched or something? (blurays aren't as tolerant to scratches as CD and DVD)

i heard the opposite, that Blurays were far more tolerable.

They've got a protective coating so they're far more resistance to scratches, but once they've got one they're screwed (within readson obviously, a tiny scratch wouldn't have an affect)

Fallout 3 from what i've heard is a bug-ridden mess, especially on the PS3. I wouldn't panic too much, if your other games start to fail then you should start to worry.

Had a fair few freezes with fallout 3, but i think that's been quite unique for me as all other ps3 games I have have been fine, including Resistance 2(only played through SP on that though)

Had over a dozen freezing/locking up episodes since ive been playing midnight club L.A last 2 weeks.....i do start to wonder if my ps3 is on its way out but never happened on other games

the one game i get the occasional issue with is GTI Club. It knocks out my internet and i have to do a full PS3 Reset. Not just me though as when its happened its happened to all my friends i was playing with.

People must mis treat their items really badly, the BD's seemed to resist quite well against this:

PS3 can lockup when you have the XMB news message featured enabled. Try to disable see if it helps.
