See no one has posted this up yet, i have backed it as part of a Kickstarter launch, Should have it in my hands by now :(, but a few delays ect means i should have it by the 1st week of May

Will let you know what it like when it turns up :D

This will be far inferior to the gear VR with a 2560x1440 Samsung phone.

1920x1080 with 100 degree FOV will have clear screen-door effect, and also the website says it's TFT (meaning LCD), so it's impossible for it to be low persistence. Screen blur is a no-no for VR.

I think it will be good considering it cost £90, all the other units are much more expensive, can not expect miracles for that sort of money, and will give me quite a good idea what VR is like and if i would want to invest in better unit at some point

but if you already have a 1080p (or better) smart phone, you can buy an adaptor for £10-30 that will do the same thing

with this headset you are paying for a whole load of hardware that (think about it) must be worse than what you have in your pocket for £90

It won't though. It will give you a poor experience and put you off the technology.
Get a google cardboard for your phone if you want a basic VR experience. It wont be great but might give you an idea.

There's a host of cheap options, such as the BoboVR Z3 which I've just bought for £13 from Gearbest, though with this you'll need a cheap bluetooth controller (£8 in the UK, probably cheaper from Gearbest) to emulate the clicks in some apps, though I'm sure some there are other cheap headsets which will have the magnetic button that the Cardboard has.

The headset is great value, though to be honest the number of apps at the moment are minimal, and the vast majority of those are fairly rubbish tech demos.
