well tonight here.. we get to see england take on the aussies in a world cup replay.. What are englands chances? i know they didn`t perform well in the 6 nations.. am really looking forward to this game.. going to be a cold windy night here.. so make for some hard forward rugby.. go the poms.. :)

I think we've got little if any chance:(
We've got a young very inexperienced side but there looks to be a lot of promise in it, so at least they'll be getting some useful experience whatever the outcome:)

34 - 3 :( :(

Varndell isn't quite the finished article everyone hoped he would be. Dare I say it....even ben cohen would be better.

I feel dirty for admitting that :(

we suck. Jonny needs to get fit, and ashton needs time to re shape the team.

While we got beaten comprehensibly we did show some attacking flair and were unlucky not to score a try. I think nerves got to the players, which is not that unsurpising seeing as many are young/uncapped. Come the AIs and 6Nations when Ashton and Wells will have had more time with the squad, I think we will see a marked improvement.

Bit unhappy at the lack of yards made by the second rows. Looks like there's still a place for Grewcock in the team :(
Sanderson was our best player by a good margin.

Still quite static in the backs beyond the first phase. On one occaision we went through 17 phases and never looked like scoring so that's a bit worrying.
This tours about finding maybe half a dozen players that can be ready for the world cup though, and progress was made in that respect.
Barkley doesn't look so asured at 10 and I think IC may be his best position so I'd like to see Hodgeson, Barkley and Noon getting as much gametime as possible together in the next year.

Plenty of Australian knock-ons in the first half. They'll be eyeing fifty points in the next test if they start well. :(

well thought we played ok after first 20 minutes.unfortunate not to score try.good tackle by greegan.. i really don`t know why they went for the 3points.which barkley missed. then there was a great run thru the centre only for the player to throw a ball to his granny in the crowd.. varndell has pace but no ball handling skills.. either that or nerves got to him.. second half england just got worse..the aussies saw that and punished them .. scrums where a farce by both sides. fingers crossed for some improvement in next test.. (good job it was the aussies and not NZ ) they would have hammerd us.

England pwned again :(

43-18 defeat.

Varndell got completely owned by Tuqiri and looks like its too soon for him to be an England player.

Bit of a disaster this tour tbh and cant see us defending the World Cup next year.

we`ve gone from world champs to world chumps.. the whole side needs a kick up the behind.. it was like watching boys v men.. our blokes kept trying to play expansive rugby but didn`t form a platform to do that.. varndell is very over rated.. great 7`s player but not a 15`s one.. think the irish will give the aussies a better game.. i hope so anyway..
