2 weeks today im off to Austria for the week for abit of skiing, has anyone been and whats it like really? Theres not many decent websites around for information.

We are staying in St Anton, i think :)

Ive been to Soll, Zell am See, Myrhoffen, Kitzbuhl and Innsbruk.
Very picture postcard, chilled, good beer and some great ski-ing though can get crowded if conditions are good. Much better than France in my opinion, you will have a great time.

I've never been to St Anton but I have been skiing in Austria twice (Kaprun and Patscherkofel with the accompanying resorts of Zell Am Zee and Axamer Lizum respectively) and it was fantastic, the people were very friendly but more importantly the terrain is superb. Have you ever been skiing before?

//edit and is it too late to try to get you snowboarding? :D

I found the pistes in St Anton pretty advanced and it was a bit of a struggle as it was my first time skiiing and everybody else was like Franz Klammer!

The Après-ski in St Anton is top notch ;)

my parents friends have an apartment in klangenfurt

my parents visited in the summer and said it was beautiful

no crime, no immigrants, no litter!

Been skiing in Wagrain and Saalbach. Both fantastic places, and going again to Zell Am See in the Easter holidays.

Can definitely recommend those two resorts I've been to in Austria.
