Ok, so ive been awake for almost 29 hours now (Needed to reset my sleep patern) and I started to think about going to sleep and then sleeping for about 12-18 hours involuntarily. Since im useless at waking up when my alarm goes off (i just shut it up and fall asleep Again), I was wondering if there was a way of making my computer turn on and boot at a specific time, basically like a high powered, fan based, windows boot chime alarm clock (I could make a sound file run on startup easily enough obviously).

So basically my computer would turn on and be loud at a given time. This also led me to think about the other benifits to this, for example: computer booting just as you got home from work/school. or in the mornings in an office, to save those initial 5 mintute load times.

Anyways... does anyone know if this is even possible? or something that will make this Work?
I know the Motherboard keeps an internal clock running... so theres a factor.
or perhaps something that awakens the computer from hibernation? Thats another option.

P.S. I didnt really know what this type of thing would come under in the forums, so i apologise if its wrong, and feel free to move it or advise on movement

Some BIOS' have a Wake On Alarm function... Never looked into it in any depth

That would work, but it only switches the PC on and is very limited in flexibility.

Set up a scheduled task and tick the 'Wake up PC to perform this task' box.
