Auto image-resizing

We have a bit of an issue at work where people have used far too high a resolution on their digital cameras. We have thousands of photos spread all over the place, some a reasonable resolution, others silly size.

Is there a way to automatically search, and re-size images over 1024x768 down to that size?

FastStone Photo Resizer lets you add a folder and will process whatever is in that folder and subfolders.

Just untick the output folder (so it will replace the original file instead), choose 'Use Advanced Options' and on the 'Resize' tab tick that option. Hit 'OK' and convert away.

Ooh, that looks perfect. There's several I've found that only do one folder level so sub-folders is the clincher.

Just added the first shared drive of 3 and there's nearly 400000 files it. Will try it on a smaller batch first...

Irfanview has a good bulk resize function (including sub folders)
