auto overclock?

Hello,

I recently bought this bundle from OCUK: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-006-GI&groupid=2833&catid=2846&subcat=2860 and have noticed that in the bios the CPU speed is showing 3.9GHz.

I have been out of touch with computer hardware for some time (socket 775 is what I have been familiar with). Do all motherboards auto overclock the CPU nowadays? I can't see any options that make it auto overclock, unless I am being blind!

Ah turbo boost! Did a bit of digging online. Does this affect stability at all, i.e is it always guaranteed to work ok?

I was planning on doing any overclocking yet

Indeed this is Turbo boost, this won't cause any issues, just overclock when you get the chance.
