Auto shutdown feature - Android

I can't seem to find anything on the internet about this feature. Basically I keep forgetting to switch my tablet off, and when I come back round to using it, well the batteries dead.

I was hoping there would be an app that would automatically shut it down after say 10 minutes of inactivity.

Does anyone know if this is even possible? or of any apps that do this?

The tablet should enter standby mode automatically (i.e. turning screen off and entering the lowest power state). You can go into wifi advanced settings and decide whether you want that to turn off in this state as well.

However, there's no default feature of actually turning it off. In standby mode it should last a couple of weeks though? Which tablet are you using?

Asus Transformer,

I have both settings set as above.

I still seem to find the battery drains rather quick.

You could do it with Tasker, but it should last at least several days with those battery settings on standby.
