Auto sign-in problem with XBox Live

Is anyone else having an issue with XBox Live not automatically signing them in anymore?
If I try to sign into my profile once the machine is on sometimes it works automatically but sometimes I have to go through the steps of confirming my email address and password.

Funnily enough this has only started happening since I changed my network password about a month ago, but surely something like that wouldn't have caused it, especially as my 360 is wired to the network!

Yeah, I get the same thing occasionally. Just press B when it prompts and it logs you in anyway.

Alternatively, when I see I'm not connected to Live, I sign out (my profile) and then sign back in immediately and then it logs into Live too with no prompt. Damn annoying - but it's fairly infrequent.

I happened to me for a bit as well, until I eventually went through all the stupid MS secuity stuff, confirming my email, home phone and mobile phone numbers, and it's left me alone since. Annoying but at least with so much security in place it'll be harder for someone to try to steal my account.

is that on the console or website? I've confirmed my email and password on the console loads of times and it still pesters me.

I've seen people saying about deleting the profile and clearing the system cache so I will give that a go. I've tried it before but didn't realise the instuctions state to clear the cache 3 times...

Not off the top of my head, the 360 gave me a link which I followed. You could try this - http://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing-and-subscriptions/account-security/add-security-proof

None of that worked unfortunately so I decided to do a factory reset on my network settings and it seems to have fixed the issue. I must have messed about with something else when I was changing my network password!
