See my above post along with the link.

I'd follow the steps in that article, and then also download and run Spybot S&D and Ad-aware for good measure.

Thanks for that, Im on it already...any idea the link for the spybot please?

Guys, seems like im gonna be asking novice-like question relating to computers from this point...can i just say i appreciate your help and thanks in advance.

Ok so here is the problem, according to the guide Peternem posted -

Windows xp - System 32 - drivers.....

Well i get into the system 32, found a folder labelled "drivers catche" and i went on in but i cant find any file labelled host....am i doing this right?

EDIT
I think i can find it now but i dont know which is which, it says the one without an extension, Is this the one without ". xxxx" then?

download a browser checking, looks like your browser has been hijacked.

Why do i get that please? I have followed the instruction given, as per deleting some stuff in the "Hosts" file/programm but it is still there.

Guys if i can just mention that it is not my Homepage that is hijacked but one of the ones in my favourites list (autotrader).

Yes i did restart the computer and shut down other pages.

Also try searching through the registry for the parts of the URL you mentioned earlier. I had a similar problem and thought it was hosts related, but it was actually a dodgy registry key...

Are you saying the issue aint me but the site?
