Hey all,

On a new profile on the computer at work and so the settings are all different on AutoCAD 2008 :(

How can I get rid of this "Select opposite corner" thing when I'm selecting things?

Thanks,

Marky

If you don't want any "on screen" boxes turn off dynamic input on the bottom left tabs.

Yep.. I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 (which is a little different) but this is the command you want! or hit F12 :)

Excellent thanks a lot :) Just hit F12 and it disappeared :)

I hope your using it old school as well Marky and none of this ribbon nonsense. For extra nostalgia points make sure the command bar is blue with yellow text :P

Old school is the way to go :p

But I do have a white/black command line/window :p

This must put me squarly in Slytherin then!! :D

AutoCAD 2013 Command Line does look a little different.

But I mainly use This Superb bit of Software now!! :p

Mother of god you've got the new grid on /me pukes :P

You gain some points for left/right docks though :)

Not used Inventor, is it any good ?

Nice ship! :p I hate that grid though :p

Fortunately, I don't delve into 3D much at all (and if I do it's normally isometric fakery rather than full on 3D sexiness :p)

Most of the time I turn the Grid off, it just happened to be on when I took the screenie!! :D

Yeah, Inventor is a great piece of software!, Not too difficult to use, as long as you can picture things in 3D (it's amazing how many people, including CAD Tech's can't picture 3D, even Isometric confuses them!!).

I'm still fumbling my way around things like assemblies and wiring, but Solid stuff isn't too taxing as long as you work through it methodically!!

It's waaay easier than Pro/E (which I used about 12 years ago).
