AutoCAD free for students?

Anyone got a link to this? Im trying to get my tutor to sort me the link but hes taking the micky a little.

Being a non-Steewww'dent I paid the full (£3500 with a slight discount) for my AutoCAD 2011!!..

Dunno what you need to qualify!!..

I used to have some of the autodesk stuff a year or so ago when i was at school, and my teacher gave us a monster of a link, instead i just signed up for a student account and entered my school etc saved a lot of time as hassle as he was like your teacher Took the ****

Then your dad should be buying it unless he is a student.

Pretty sure you have to register using a .ac.uk email to be eligable for the download.

Yes you just need to register with your student account, I did it with 3ds Max and got a free 3 year licence

Grrrrrrrrrr [looks at PO for £3575 incl VAT for 1 seat of AutoCAD 2011 bought in October!] thats not fair!!

At least I get to keep mine!.. you have to give yours back when you finish your edumacation!!!

With the educational products when you go to print out a drawing it slaps "AUTODESK EDUCATIONAL" on all 4 edges of your drawings.

You only need an educational email address and you get x months of usage, rinse and repeat.

It will send the info to your school/college email, then when you get to school/college, forward the email home and start installing.

And to top it off, all you had to do was type your thread title into google and you would have got the exact link at the top of the search, I mean come on it would actually of been quicker searching than it was to make this thread
