i've run in a little problem here after deciding i'd get an old machine upgraded to win xp so it'll be on the network, this machine specifically runs autocad2000 since we need it for certain designs.
the problem i now have is, autodesk told me my license i got is a 30 seat network license which is partly true (it's a 28 seat license and 2 local copies)
but they would not give me an authorisation key unless it was installed on a server.
so what i did was, i've set up the server on the same machine installed the licence manager and everything is running fine. but autocad won't recognise that there is ADLM installed on the machine and it goes looking across the whole network around site.
does anyone know how i can tell autocad to pick it up from the same machine?
edit: i also had a work with the licensing admin but he doesn't know what to do and PC support won't help me either
i've tried installing the client software "via" the network but that still is asking me for an authorisation key afterwards. this should never pop up when you have a network license installed.
