Hi all,

I'm having a minor headache with my first xreffed assembly drawing, and I'm unsure of how to proceed.

Basically, I need to show a longitudinal section through a fairly simple assembly, which will obviously mean that some of the lines on the xreffed blocks are incorrectly represented - i.e. are shown as profile lines instead of hidden and vice versa, and some profiles will be partially obscured when assembled, which would mean that their profiles are partially hidden (which would be nigh on impossible to rectify as a block seperate from the assembly).

Basically I need to know what the 'standard' procedure is in this instance - do I just chuck everything in after changing linetypes in effected blocks (which will be all but impossible for partially obscured components which would required their profiles to be partially profile lines aswell as partially hidden lines), and then hatching where required, or do I do something else??

I can bind the xreffed blocks to the new assembly drawing, explode them and modify them until I get where I need to, but this kind of defeats the object of having an xreffed assembly by removing the link to their 'parent' files.

Any thoughts?
