autodesk wont install

Hi, i am a student and tryin to get the free software from the site.
i am tryin to get revit and i have downloaded it but when i go to install it.. it wont install, just comes up as install failed :S

has anyone else done it?

could it be becuase i downloaded it onto my HDD and want to install it on my SSD?

Did you get the correct 32 or 64 bit version?

yep there was only one opition saying 32or64bit windows

are there any prerequisites it needs?
did the file download correctly, maybe check the MD5 hash of your file to the one they have if they supply this type of info on their site.

it still wont install have tried lots of things

you know what, i think you actually have to burn it to dvds to get it to install

I've installed direct from the download file.

You said there was only one option, 32 or 64 bit, that's two options? Did you select the right one? Did you download the correct software for your OS, i.e. Windows 7/Windows XP/Mac OSX etc?

If you did, I'd try and re-download the software and install it again.

try running the installer as administrator (right click, run as admin)

got it working the 2012 one didnt wont. but got the 2010 n worked first time.
