Autoglym High Definition Wax

I was getting the motor valeted in the Mailbox t'other day and the kid there mentioned something about a new Autoglym wax that apparently last for 6 months or more. I forget the name, they wanted 40 quid to apply it I think. Is this the same thing?

paint cleaner - removes light oxidation, swirls, scratches

If it removes swirls and scratchs then itll have to be something on the level of Autoglym Paint Restorer/T-Cut, which doesnt clean the paint, but cuts its away. Its probably not the best idea to use this every wash as you'll be taking off a layer of paint/lacquer with every use.

Yeah i think he sees paint cleaner as a cutter.

Don't use this all the time, once or twice a year. You don't want to use polish as much as wax and washing either as it is abbrasive aswell.

It depends on how much effort you're prepared to put in.

For the Golf and ZR I swear by Autoglym Super Resin. Nothing comes close in as little time as that in my experience. It doesn't get rid of swirls but it fills them nicely and gives 90% of the results of the proper detailing stuff for about 10% of the effort. I wouldn't worry about AG cutting your paintwork, you'd have to polish it about 1000 times for it to do any damage.

For the Elise I use the Poorboys SSR range with a Porter Cable to make sure it has zero swirls, then finish it off with Nattys Blue wax. It gives better results than the AG stuff but it's also a lot more effort.
