Automated or Quick Manual Table Population?

I have a list of about 300 places that I'd like to populate into a table each place is a link to another page so rather than typing it all out and making some typos I was wondering what people normally do?

my mate thinks a for loop in php would be the best?

Where is the data stored? If it's in a database, then simply iterate over each row in your language of choice.

cool its not me doing it so im a bit green with coding - its going over a 3 row wide table - is it easy with that still? and it will be from a xml file or something similar
