Hi guys,

I asked this in GH a while ago but no response :(

I'm looking to scan all my old paper photos onto the laptop. I've seen automatic feed document scanners, where you can put a load of sheets of paper in and it will scan and save each one. I was just wondering whether there are any that are good for doing this with photos?!?!

Cheers,

Mal :)

HP Scanjet 5530 has a atomatic photo feeder. Not really seen any others and I don't know if it's any good.

The only practical reason I can think of why an ADF scanner wouldn't work on ordinary photos (not polaroids due to thickness) is misfeeds. Other than that, I can't see why you couldn't stack photos into an automatic document feeder and scan them. Won't vouch for quality however.

However, you'll probably get better results using something like a Pandigital Photolink scanner. So it's not automatic feed, but it is (apparently) reasonably automatic, is designed for the specific job of photo scanning, and should be much quicker than a flatbed.
