Automatic Updates Stuck In A Loop.

MSXML 4.0 SP2 SECURITY UPDATE (925672)
MSXML 4.0 SP2 SECURITY UPDATE (KB927978)

Microsoft (Automatic) Updates is installing these two updates every single time i turn my computer on, it's almost as if it is stuck in a loop, and it's leaving loads of junk folders on my hard drive aswell...

...these are just some of those left, and all contain the file....

I Have never had a problem like this before so if anyone can help, cheers.

Check the microsoft support site. They are normally quite good at sorting things like this.

Are they actually being successfully installed? Sometimes I have the odd update that won't install for some weird random reason. Its never a major or important update to me, last one was a Flash update for example. You could try clearing the temp folder where Windows stores the Windows Update patches when it downloads them.

I'm also suffering from this problem having been offline for 7 months, just catching up on all the updates I've missed.

Had a look at that MS Support link but it doesn't mean an awful lot to me I'm afraid, anyone else had this problem and fixed it successfully?
