automatically disable aero when program 'x' is open?

i want to disable aero when i have steam open, so return to castle wolfenstein will work (without having to disable it all the time)

doing it in compatibility options doesn't do the trick, tried it on steam.exe aswell as the exe's for rtcw

i just tried it through compatibility options and it works for me on the steam shortcut. tick the option "disable desktop composition".

cheers mark, they could have replace 'composition' with destop visual effects or something!

just wondering, which version do of RTCW do you play?? I never had any issues on 1.0

it's the one that's on steam, so fully patched up version i guess, it's fine with aero disabled, might be graphics card drivers -ati 7.9 on x300 (mce box)
