Thought I'd try my luck with this question here since google is being non-too helpful.

Simply put, do we have any vmware specialists in? I'm wanting to export a stacked graph (VMs) for a 24hour period showing CPU (average) utilisation on a daily basis per ESX host in any given "Datacenter"" container.

And that's where the challenge seems to be, I'm unable to find a mechanism or script that will accommodate what the console can provide manually.

Cheers, Paul.

If you ever come across something I'd like to hear about it! I looked around as we had a similar requirment and didn't find anything. The best I've managed is knocking up a perl script using the vSphere CLI that will output stats for vms to a CSV file for a specified time range.

If your Excel skills are better than mine you can turn that into a flashy chart. Sadly all the charts I generate come out looking very basic
