I am in Zambia at the moment on business, so have no idea if it's just the dodgy wireless connection in this hotel, but I can't connect to the Automatix web site. Can someone please visit www.getautomatix.com and tell me if it's up or not?

If it isn't up can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Looks like it's timing out for me too dude, I'm in S.England :( No ping and a tracert (from Windows):

(Code tags made it go scroll barry, you get the idea from the Quotes above!)..

No probs :) Sometimes when I've tried to update a new box the site has been down or *really* slow* so I know how it feels. They need a decent mirror or two I think..

You shouldn't use Automatix anyway. It has been out of favour for a while as it is known to break dependancies and such.

In Ubuntu there is an Add/Remove utility for searching and installing applications. [different from Synaptic].

The Automatix issues could be Ubuntu/Debian-only.
