Autopatcher, no more?

iirc SP2 became a prereq for autopatcher a little while back, before that the prereq was SP1.

How are you guys downloading the updates from windows update though? are you downloading them one by one and then slipstreaming those into an install disc?

My build method was to have an XPSP2 disc then have autopatcher and all my other driver bits, firewall, a/v etc on another.

Install from the SP2 disk, then autopatcher, drivers etc and then my protection s/w firewall, a/v etc. that way I was fairly well protected and patched up before ever connecting it to my network/internet.

The best thing about autopatcher was, one download, one install, one reboot. If you built an XP machine purely to SP2 and then connected to the net to do a windows update it'd take most of a day and several reboots before you where up to spec.
