Autotrader Vs. Pistonheads

Sold my GT3 via PH, had some idiot traders and dealers phone up and tell me what they thought it was worth (£6K to £10K shy of the price it was up at) and how it would NEVER sell at the price I had it up at....when within 2 weeks in it sold to the first serious buyer who contacted me. Also if you are known or more importantly you car is known to the forum sorts then that can help as the word of mouth messages are helpful, were for me.

Put the RS4 on there and got nothing but tards phoning up from the land of 'init' who seemed to think I was their bruv telling me they were "cash buyer mate" and oddly wondering if I would take £10K less for a quick sale....or their MK3 Golf in part exchange. I had one guy phone me up from the land of 'init' telling me how he bought loads of VDubs and really wanted my motor and could I meet him and his bruva's at some services off the M1...to which I said, err, no.

BUT for free can't moan, but the world of decent cars is full of fantasists and PH adverts seem to play to them as they can phone up and waste 30 mins of your time telling you how they have loads of cars like this in the past but at the moment they have a Corsa...

Depends what your selling. Sold my DC2 in a few days on Pistonheads. Listed a CRV on there for 2 weeks and not a call, listed it on Autotrader and sold it within a few days and had another 4 calls afterwards.
