I miss something? This card was on my longterm goal to buy for it's #1 spot in sound quality :( Not seeing it sold anymore here :s

Its no longer in production due to the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 replacing it.

Ah man too bad, but I thought it was meant to still be better than the Prelude because it was using a c-media chip etc instead of the Preludes equivalent to Creatives X-FI chip, when I say better I mean sound quality. I know that prelude is great for using EAX5 etc, improving performances in games also, just I never cared about that.

Uhm, correct me if I'm wrong but the Prelude isn't a replacement for the Meridian. It's just tarted up XFI card made with the same top grade bits that made the Meridian as good as it is. Just because ocuk haven't got it in stock doesn't mean it can't be found elsewhere.

I meant in the sense from Auzentech's business point of view in that one's no longer being produced and their new flagship product so to speak has just come out which their hoping everyone will go for.
Just a shame its a tarted up xfi like you said instead of a true replacement. Still haven't seen a decent review on it yet.
Their might still be the odd place with stock left sure of course but it even says on thier site production of it stopped in June due to limited chipset availability.
