Auzentech Prelude - Error code 37

Hi all,

Last night my computer crashed and ever since ive not been able to use the sound due to windows complaining with;
Windows error code 37: Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware

Ive searched around the net and at most, all i can find is the problem occuring with cd rom drives and the solution was to edit part of the registry.

Heres what else ive tried:
- Uninstalling drivers and reinstalling them
- Windows repair
- Format and fresh install
- Trying the sound card in another PCI port
- Removing the card, restarting the system, shutting it down again and reinstalling the card again (dont actually know if this would do anything but it was recommended to me -_-)

I'm at a loss, anyone who has any suggestions I would love to hear them, I have a lan im supposed to be going to this weekend and without sound its going to be direee ;<

should have checked before really. will try the said patch to see if that works. if not its time to play the waiting game
