Auzentech X-Fi on Linux

Just putting the feelers out really, i own the above card and when i used linux briefly a long time ago there was nothing at all around, and getting the sound actually working was a nightmare, and didnt work 100% of the time.

Just wondering if there are any easy fixes these days?

Apparently the Oxygen HD Audio driver in alsa works for it, i think its the same one for my asus xonar which works very well for me. Id give it a try more than anything else (alsa is pretty good in my opinion too)

My Creative X-Fi works fine on Ubuntu. Had to compile the drivers from source though.

I believe i tried the creative drivers, and they didnt work.. although i dont remember compiling them from source, so perhaps thats why!

I will have to give it a go sometime soon, thanking you kindly

my asus xonar works great using the oxygen driver, dunno if that helps u?
