Is anyone else waiting for the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude sound card?

I've read you can get EAX surround sound using a single digital connection, is this correct as this feature would be worth it's weight in gold for myself.

I read something about every sound that comes out of your PC being upconverted to 5.1 if you so wish, even regular stereo games, all through a single optical or coaxial connection.

I'm not sure if this is any different to selecting Pro Logic II on your surround amp?

I really can't believe this is not a PC standard as 360's/PS3's already have digital connections for games.
