I'm trying to find an AV amp that has scart sockets instead of RCA or S-Video. I know JVC and Pioneer used to make them, but i cant find any anywhere now. Its only for the conservatory so I'm not after mega spec or HDTV, or RGB. just something to make it all nice and tidy with scart sockets instead of the usual nest of cables.

Any Idea's :)

Cheers Dusty

I am no expert but I have never heard of a scart switching av amp.

Easiest way round is to feed the sound via the amp and the video via a seperate switch box I am afraid.

Pioneer's slimline receiver, I think it was the 301 had them. Thing is, it worked in a really silly way, and for multichannel analogue input the SCART carried the front stereo sound and another 3 RCA cables had to be used for surround information. You can buy all manner of adapter cables and SCART splitters which would probably suit your needs. It'd be a more roundabout way of doing things, but at the end of the day it'll probably achieve the same results.

What are you hoping to connect up?

Just Freeview, and DVD, and maybe PS2. But its only for the conservatory. Need to replace the old Kenwood KRV-888D.

So it doenst warrant all the fancy extra's I leave that to the Denon 2805 & Bose 701(Series 1) in the front room
