Can anyone recommend a decent, stylish cd rack?

I've just filled the one i have at the minute, which holds 56 but my collection is getting closer to 70 so i'm looking for extra storage.

I've looked at the Soundstyle XS250, although looks the part is way too expensive (£250). It can either be free-standing or wall-mounted but beyond everything needs to look good. I'm willing to spend maybe £100, depending on how it looks maybe more. It can either be slots or stacked.

I've had a quick look around but nothing is taking my fancy as they're either really tacky or really expensive

Any ideas?

I've found also that there seem to be no mid range solutions for CD storage. Either they're cheapo ones from ikea etc or really expensive ones from hi-fi stores or specialists. I've had to go with the budget option for now, but I've filled one, and I'm having to spill over on to a bookcase. Would be good to have everything in one place. I'm looking at over 250 CDs, and would ideally look for a storage unit for more like 500. I don't think my CD buying is going to stop any time soon that's for sure!

Whilst I appreciate the fact that you want something that is either a) prebuilt / ready to go or b) you know is going to look good, why don't you save yourself a lot of money and build it yourself?

I have over 300 CD's and made my own shelving by going to a timber merchants and getting them to cut me lengths of planed timber to length for me and then I went home, got out the drill and screws. Cost me a total of about £30 all in.

I have 8 shelves about 3ft wide which looks good enough and would have looked better if I'd taken more time with it.

Anyway I hope you find what you are looking for. This may be of help :)
