hi

can you tell me if have been told that you can modify your Samsung q990d sound system
I want to use the normal q990d subwoofer plus you can add a additional 2nd subwoofer
from a different brand
utube shows a guy using a klipsch subwoofer with the system
or a svs sub either a svs pb2000 or a svs pb3000
with the samsung q990d subwoofer as well
can this definitely work
if so can you please so kindly for me so I can use two subwoofers instead of the normal just q990d sub
need your help and technical support
or can you please so kindly tell me any contact number on who can modify the system for me
it would help me out greatly
if I can get more low end bass from my system
and why don't samsung create the next soundbar with 2 subwoofer outputs
need your expertise asap thanks kindly from marcus

Cost involved wouldn't be worthwhile, taking it apart determining signal path then getting RCA terminal wired up. Probably couple hundred quid at least.

Just save up for a AVR with dedicated subwoofer outputs, and speakers.

hi
couple hundred pound would be fine
do you no of anyone who could wire it all up foe me
or the best way to search for a person who could do the job
I've tried on Internet and not found anyone
can you kindly look into it for me thanks

You would need to take out the pcb from the Samsung subwoofer and mount it into a box then pad down the amp output to speaker level inputs. That way you would be able to use any third party subwoofer and would also have zero lag between the sub and soundbar and the system would just be tricked into thinking the Samsung sub is connected to it, while allowing the third party one to work anywhere wirelessly.

It's basically what I did on my Sony Bravia quads and works flawlessly. I went with an ELAC sub due to it having inbuilt calibration. If you go down the other route utilising the sub alongside the third party one, you'll get timing issues and will also be a horrible mismatch.

My friend could technically do the mod for you but he's based in Canada and unlike the Sony you can't buy the subwoofer separately, so would be rather expensive to ship him yours. I just bought a cheap SW3 off eBay USA and got them to ship it directly to him.

Below is the modded box he created for me which houses the Sony subwoofer PCB etc.
