I've been running AV Homeplug 200mb for a few years now and are considering upgrading to 500.. The problem is I have 5 of these units, and they are not cheap.. Is it possible to run the 200 and 500 units on the same cables? I presume they wont be able to talk to each other directly, but if I start by switching a couple of the units for 500 homeplugs (assuming the router will route the traffic between the 200 and 500 units) will they then work alongside each other?

Devolo and Solwise 200 works fine with each other, so I assume if I stick with those 2 brands (and they are backwards compatible) they should all keep talking to each other.

What kind of speeds do you get on the 500? I typically get around 7MB/s with my 200, but for some reason that has dropped to 2MB/s recently, so I am trying to work out whats going wrong.

Currently getting 4MB/s (40mbps line) on the 500's, dont know about the 200 one as thats used for the xbox.

Reason i got the 500 over hte 200mbps ones is that they were only 15euro more expensive, plus will be upgrading to the 120mbps line when it becomes available in my area.

What about the speed on your LAN between the two 500s? I would expect to see something in the region of 15MB/s based on what I get on my 200..?
