AV on an Ipad2

I bought my daughter an Ipad2 for Xmas. I don't have any experince with these devices, two questions please?

1. Does it need AV software loaded on it, I assume yes?
2. If it does - I use Kaspesky on my Windows kit. Will that work on a Ipad2? I had a look on the Kaspesky web site but couldn't find any specific reference to it being compatable.

No it doesn't need AV. It's a closed smartphone OS so unless you jailbreak it you won't have any issues at all. The only smartphone OS that remotely needs an AV is Android and only then if you are doing dodgy stuff with it (side loading cracked apps for example).
