I currently have Norton 360 and HSBC have offered me Mcafee. Thoughts on either?

Just doing a fresh install, so trying to get it right first time etc

Mm ok I will look at MSE

Both mcafee and norton 360 are free. I'll test mcafee in a vm etc.

Do like Sophos

Your PC, your choice. Install McAfee or Sophos or whatever else you fancy.

I like MSE. It's lightweight, does the job, gets updates over Windows Update and is free.

Last version of Norton 360 I saw was rubbish bloatware, same goes for the corporate version of McAfee. I wouldn't touch the consumer version with someone else's bargepole.
